The concept of hybrid threats has gained particular significance in international security studies over the past decade. The main reason is that contemporary conflicts are no longer conducted solely in the military domain but simultaneously unfold across information, economic, political, technological and social spheres. A hybrid approach seeks to overload an adversary and disrupt its decision-making mechanisms by activating multiple channels of influence at the same time.
