Анотація
Stroke remains one of the leading causes of persistent disability among the adult population in Ukraine and worldwide, while the increasing survival after acute vascular events drives a steady rise in the number of individuals requiring rehabilitation. One of the most common and, at the same time, most disabling consequences of stroke is impairment of postural control and balance, which, according to review studies, is found in approximately 83 % of stroke survivors. Such disorders limit functional mobility and self-care, increase the risk of falls, and adversely affect patients’ quality of life.Посилання
