In today’s multicultural society, cultural competence is essential for effective communication and collaboration across diverse backgrounds. According to the analysis, modern educators have shifted their focus towards appreciating cultural diversity and promoting cultural identity in foreign language teaching. Students should be able to navigate cultural differences respectfully, demonstrate awareness of cultural norms and values, and engage in inclusive practices that promote understanding and valuing of differences. Cultural competence refers to the ability to understand, respect, and interact with people from different cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. In the context of language learning, it involves gaining knowledge of the cultural norms, values, and practices associated with the target language, as well as understanding how culture shapes communication.
