Military activities often result in severe soil and groundwater contamination, posing long-term ecological and public health risks. This paper explores the use of biotechnology and nanotechnology as innovative approaches for the reclamation of polluted military territories. Phytoremediation, microbial degradation, and nanoscale materials such as zero-valent iron and metal oxides are reviewed in terms of their efficiency, environmental impact, and scalability. The study highlights successful applications of hybrid bio-nano systems and provides a comparative analysis with traditional methods. Despite some limitations, such as ecological risks and technical complexity, the integration of these technologies offers a promising pathway toward sustainable and effective remediation strategies in defense-related contexts.
