Анотація

The genre of horror, originally associated with literature and cinema, is undergoing significant transformations in contemporary German drama. Using the elements of fear, anxiety, and the unknown, contemporary playwrights, such as Roland Schimmelpfennig, address deep existential questions, immersing the viewer in a new dimension of fear. Horror on stage becomes a means not only to frighten, but also to question the boundaries between reality and illusion, individuality and the collective unconscious.
