Public debt is an integral part of any country's economic policy, especially in times of crisis. For Ukraine, which is in the midst of a full-scale war, the issue of effective debt control and audit has become critical. The war has created unprecedented challenges for public financial management, in particular due to the significant expenditures on defence, humanitarian aid and infrastructure reconstruction. Under these circumstances, an analysis of Ukraine's experience through the prism of European Union (EU) practices can help improve approaches to public debt management.
